Slovak Genealogical-Heraldic Society now covers over 500 members mainly from Slovakia, partly also from the Czech Republic and other countries (Hungary, USA, France).
At the general meeting, which is held every 2 years, Committee members shall elect a supervisory committee SGHS. The Committee is a 11-membered, its members are the leading Slovak heraldry and genealogy, Archives staff, universities and other institutions. Predsedom SGHS is PhDr. Radoslav Ragač, PhD., Director of the Slovak National Archives in Bratislava, Secretary of the Milan Šišmiš, Worker Slovak National Library. (Charter, Authorities)
The main source of income SGHS as contributions from members, foundations and partly revenues from its own activities. The team is primarily the issue of the periodical Genealogical-Heraldic voice (comes from r. 1991 2-times a year) and other publications.
The company cooperates with Slovak National Library, Slovak nut, Department of the Ministry of Interior Archives, various archives and museums in the Slovak Republic, foreign and expatriate professional organizations. He is a member of the International Confederation of heraldic and genealogical societies, Federation of Eastern European family-history-based companies in St.. Paul (USA) and the Federation family-history-based companies in Birmingham (Great Britain).
